If seeing a collection of photographs that focusses mainly on the natural world and has been taken within the past twelve months or so is your thing then I recommend the Natural History Museum's
Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibition. I took
fromthecity along as part of her Christmas present and was actually pleasantly surprised, pictures of animals not really being my thing (I was hoping they're smuggled some football in somewhere but no). We stayed in there for the best part of an hour and a half and I even found a favourite, the man/whale face-off above; not bad for someone like me, who hates science and nature and stuff. Also worth going to if you've got a spare hour or so - and because it's free - is the British Library's
Taking Liberties exhibition. It didn't tell me anything particularly new but the exhibits were pretty good and it was well assembled. Why would you walk through it at breakneck speed, not looking at anything but loudly talking about hospital car-parking fees though, why? Some people, god.
